Innovation Meets Opportunity and Identity promises an impactful and inspiring overnight experience for college-bound young men rising to grades 9–12. Taking place July 16–19, 2026, at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, this year’s institute will bring together registered young men from across North Carolina and beyond for a transformative coastal leadership experience where leadership truly takes the coast.
Throughout this immersive multi-day experience, participants will engage in dynamic learning modules, mentorship opportunities, and team-building activities designed to strengthen critical skills in leadership, personal and professional development, citizenship, education, cultural awareness, and identity exploration.
The Institute is intentionally structured to motivate, challenge, and empower young men as they prepare for the 2026–2027 school year with confidence, purpose, and a clear vision for their future.
